South Spur Rail ran 2AP9 SCT special servcie with hired former Victorian Railways C class Clyde/EMD GT26C locomotives in December 2006.

South Spur Rail Services purchased a rake of gondolla wagons that had been stored at Grass Valley for years. These wagons were restored and K205 hauled 14 of them out on 29th November 2006 for use on SSRS contaner train. This is the shunting of the wagons and the run through the Avon Valley to Perth.

From 17th to 22nd November a number of interesting workings occured, first XR in Perth, LZ3105 on MP5, V544 on AP9, ALF25 in Perth. This is a few of these workings.

In May 1988 ex NSWGR Pacific locomotive 3801 hauled the bi centenial train across Australia to Perth as part of its nation wide tour. 3801 suffered mechanical failure causing some trips in WA to be diesel hauled. 3801 was repaired in WA and ran a freigth train test run prior to returning interstate.

Australia Western Railroad ran two former 830 Alcos converted to ANR DA configoration that were numbered T01 and T02 while they ran in WA. T01 & T02 ran the woodchip trains from the mill at Redmond to the port at Albany. T01 and T02 are shown operating on 02/11/2002 and 03/11/2002.
